Visit Togoville, the birthplace of Togo with a traditional boat ride on the lake Togo.
Day 1. Accra – Lome. Approximately 4.5 Hours Drive!
Depart Accra to Lome, capital city of Togo. Undergo a land border formalities at Ghana and Togo immigration. Tour the city of Lome by visiting famous sites such as Monument de l’independance commemorating Togo’s Independence from Germans, Palais de Lome once a residence of Togo’s prime minister, Lome central market and an old catholic built cathedral.
Overnight at Onomo hotel or similar.
Day 2. Togoville.
After breakfast, cross the lake Togo at Agbodrafo to visit the town on hill known as Togoville, birth place of Togo. Walk the community to learn about local culture and traditions. Visit a fetish market where various kinds of preserved animal bodies are showcased and used for Voodoo rituals for people who needs them.
Overnight at Onomo hotel or similar.
Day 3. Lome – Accra.
After breakfast, return back to Accra. Undergo a border exist formalities at Aflao. Visit the an African art museum to see how a Ghanaian artist is using sculpture heads to tell African stories.
